- Founded in 1824
- Over 2,000 pieces on display
- Over 5 million visitors a year
- The painting were moved to Wales during WWII for obvious reasons
- Neoclassical architectural structure
- Some of the collections highlighted in the museum are Jan van Eyck's The Arnolfini Portrait, J. M. W. Turner's The Fighting Temeraire and Van Gogh's Sunflowers.
